On Spiritual Activism

What is spiritual activism & what does it have to do with business?

A big topic, but here’s what I’ve been reflecting upon lately:

Spiritual activism is the practice of integrating your spirituality (whatever that looks like to you) into your personal action plans for creating a better world.

It emphasizes that there is duality in everything, and also, that nothing is binary. Internal work and outward action are two things that can coexist. The key is finding the balance that enables forward movement with both.

A truth I keep coming back to is that collective expansion leads to self expansion, and vice versa; to be deeply, spiritually connected to yourself is to recognize your role in the collective.

This is why i feel spiritually called to envision & cultivate a world in which we can all be free.

So, here is a reminder that running a small business can be much more than a way to pay the bills. It can be the very thing that gives us the space we need to bring spiritual activism into our work!

What if we reframed the narratives we’re often told and believed this instead:

Business is a catalyst for necessary change; it is a magical pathway that we can utilize to create the world we want, little by little.

As a freelance designer, my business is here to provide inspiring people with the tools they need to feel confident & grounded online, so they can then go on to impact this world for the better & fight for their own joy in the process.

So if you are here in this internet community of mine, and you resonate with any of my words, you are very much included in that vision.

I am so grateful to have you here & I’ll always welcome the opportunity to learn more about you, your offerings, your worries, your dreams, your memes, etc.

And from here on out, my hope for this space is that it helps us all feel a bit better about bringing our whole selves into our businesses.
